NMM here I come!
I just recieved an email from Tom’s friend Michael’s colleague, Flora at the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich offering me a week’s work experience there in the last week of my Christmas holidays. It sounds fascinating and seems I’ll be doing a lot more than merely making cups of tea!
I’ll be working in the Learning and interpretation department assisting the Community and Development Manager (sounds right up my street) and my duties (which sound even more up my street) will include-
- Admin assistance (with the)commision of artists for Atlantic Worlds 2007 and Bicentenary Programme
- Assisting with public programmes re. 2007
- Liasing with external parties including focus groups, organisations and partners
- Sourcing funders
- Research re. Atlantic worlds and 2007 Programme
- Attending meetings and minuting as needed
- Assistance with marketing as needed.
I can’t wait!
